After years of making impressive Android phones, OnePlus announced the OnePlus Pad, its first entry into the tablet market. Let’s know about the OnePlus Pad, including information about its design, performance specs and cameras.
Design and display
The OnePlus Pad features in a Halo Green shade with an aluminum alloy body and a cambered frame. There’s a single-lens camera on the back, and another on the front, located in a bezel above the display.
The OnePlus Pad weighs 552g, and is 6.5mm slim thick, and OnePlus claims the tablet is designed to feel light and easy to hold for a long time .
The display is 11.61-inch screen with a 7:5 aspect ratio and a super-high 144Hz refresh rate. It has a 2800 x 2000 pixel resolution, which is impressively quite, and it offers 296 pixels per inch and 500 nits of brightness. OnePlus notes that the size and shape makes it ideal for ebooks, while the refresh rate could be beneficial for gaming.
Specs and features
The OnePlus Pad runs a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset at 3.05GHz. It’s joined by up to 8/12GB RAM which keep things suitably smooth and speedy on the performance front. And 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM –each variant boasting 128GB of storage. And OnePlus claims that the pad is capable to keep up to 24 apps open at once.
Other OnePlus Pad features include quad speakers with Dolby Atmos audio, and the slate is compatible with both a OnePlus Stylo and OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard, so it should be good for creativity and productivity.
You will pay extra cost for a OnePlus Stylo or OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard, if you’re thinking about buying one for professional use.
OnePlus Pad camera and battery
The OnePlus Pad has two cameras: a 13MP main sensor on the rear, and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The tablet’s rear sensor is positioned slap-bang in the middle of the frame, which OnePlus says could make photos look more natural.
The OnePlus Pad features a most impressive 9,510mAh battery with 67W charging, which can fully charge in 80 minutes. It allows for more than 12 hours of video-watching and up to one whole month of standby life for once charge.
For now, OnePlus isn’t saying anything about pricing and has said to wait for April, when we can pre-order one. You doing that?
