Pocketbook has just announced a new colour ereader called InkPad Color 2 .The new inkpad Color 2 brings modest upgrades, comparing with Inkpad color which launched in 2021.

The new Inkpad Color 2 display is pretty the same as the old device Inkpad color, but the Inkpad color 2 upgrades new features. The new model has been improved with a better color filter array.
They are both features a 7.8-inch E INK Kaleido Plus colour e-paper display with a black and white resolution of 1404×1872 with 300 PPI and a colour resolution of 468×624 with 100 PPI. It can display over 4096 different colour combinations. The screen is flush with the bezel and protected by a layer of glass. Both the two devices have front-lights to help you read in dim or dark environments. But only the new model has adjustable color temperature, allowing you to reduce the amount of blue light. There is warm and cool lighting, which can be blended, and perfect for reading at night. So that the company claims “better hue and saturation performance.”

The new model has a 1.8 GHz quad-core chip while the older model had a 1 GHz dual-core processor .
Both devices have just 1GB of RAM, but the new InkPad Color 2 has 32 GB twice as much than older, while the older version had 16GB storage and a microSD card reader.
Both deveices power by a 2900 mAh battery, which should last a month.
InkPad Color 2 features IPX8 standards, which is reliably protected against water damage . The device withstands immersion in fresh water to a depth of 2 meters for up to 60 minutes without any harmful consequences. Old version model didn’t have water resistance feature.
