The ReMarkable 2 is one of the most popular E Ink tablets available and one of the best for handwritten notes. This tablet’s 10.3-inch 226 PPI display is not quite as clear as the Scribe’s, but the screen is a little larger. The ReMarkable 2 also has a pen that pairs automatically and does not need to be charged. Users can write directly on the screen to mark up PDFs or unprotected, DRM-free ePubs. The Remarkable is simply more accessible for new users and eventually they will utilize all of the advanced features that artists, drafters, which students and professionals need. It is also beneficial for user to download and save to popular cloud storage providers. It has 8GB of internal storage and now includes handwriting conversion and Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive integration. Those services used to be part of ReMarkable’s Connect subscription, but are now included for free with every device. The Connect subscription itself now costs extra. It offers a ReMarkable 2 protection plan, along with unlimited cloud storage and the ability to add notes in your notebooks when you’re on mobile and desktop devices.
The Remarkable has the advantage over the Scribe when it comes to freehand drawing and viewing and editing PDF files. However, Remarkable 2 has a few different things. It does not have a front–built display or a warm adjustable lights, so you need an environmental light to get any work done. Although their ebook reading software is top notch, users have to sideload in all of their digital content, since Remarkable does not have their own digital bookstore, or have no access to the kindle library, even not be able to take notes on any kindle books.
Remarkable is mainly an e-note taking device. It starts at $299.00 including 1-year free Connect trial.
